I would like to let you know that I have been a HUGE fan of this website you created for over 2 years. I truly believe in your purpose and goals in making this site dedicated to the beautiful Apostolic Hymns that are being quickly forgotten. I am 28 years old and I grew up listening, learning and growing with these songs to this day. I read your "Thoughts" on the current state of the Apostolic Assembly and how it has moved away from the very roots that founded it. I can say truly that I agree with all your points on this message. Most people my age have no idea what these songs mean or even know these songs for that matter. It saddens me that this is true but I have made a concerted effort to keep these songs alive in our church. My Praise Team varies in age from 18-25 and they have learned Himnos that they would've never known had God not put it in my heart to continue to keep these songs alive. We are to my knowledge the only church that continues to sing these songs, Preachers have come and expressed their gratitude and happiness that we have continued to sing the songs that even they grew up with. There are not any songs coming out today with the pure anointing that our Founders had when writing these songs full of the Holy Spirit. There are no words to describe the feeling of having discovered this Web page. It is a great blessing to listen to these hymns and I definitively agree that we have been remiss by not singing these songs that truly have a message for the soul. There are many beautiful contemporary songs, but they will never have the unction and inspiration of the lyrics written by men that were inspired and guided by the Holy Ghost to write songs that resulted in the breaking of the heart. I rejoiced as I listened to many of the hymns that we used to sing in the congregation of the 8^th Apostolic Church of the Faith In Christ Jesus in Juarez. These hymns bring memories of my mother and father singing them in church and at home. It is impossible not to shed tears while one listens to these songs, for in reality their words are like a two-edged sword that penetrates deep into our being. Presently, our congregation has chosen to sing these songs, even though sadly our young people do not know them, but many of them have stated that the melody and lyrics of these songs are beautiful. I can tell you with certainty that this page that I discovered today 2/13/2012, is a TREASURE. What a blessing it is to know that you are concerned about something that the majority of the Apostolic churches all over the world are no longer doing, that is singing Apostolic songs in our services. These songs have been composed by brothers that are filled with the Holy Ghost and, as you say, the songs composed by singers of different doctrine cannot compare with our Apostolic songs. My brother, it fills me with joy to know that there are brothers in other parts of the world that want this music sung in our services and not be forgotten because now we are inundated with non-Apostolic songs. As you know we have an identity, but in the course of time that identity is getting lost. What remains is that we must pray to the Lord every day so that he helps us to continue serving him.
